Town Officials Pare Down, Vote on Budget Total for East Hampton

The Board of Finance for East Hampton agreed on a proposed budget after paring down the total and voting.

EAST HAMPTON, CT - East Hampton officials have been working hard to painstakingly pare down the town budget, the Middletown Press reported. Their work has resulted in a budget of $44.3 million.

The Board of Finance agreed on the proposed budget during a meeting held this week, according to the Middletown Press. Two board members voted against the proposed total. (To sign up for East Hampton and Portland breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The budget would increase by 3.05 percent over the current year’s spending total if approved, the Middletown Press reported. The $44.26 million package will be presented to the Town Council on Tuesday.
