Wonder! Ask! Stretch! Imagine! Any of these invitations could have risen from the person and teacher and minster, Sophia Lyon Fahs (1876-1978). She needed every moment of her century plus lifetime to spread the wings of her own wonder, questioning, expansiveness, and imagination, as religious educator and eventually, Unitarian Universalist minister. Because of Sophia Lyon Fahs, religious education across progressive faith traditions turned a corner, becoming child-centered, attuned to how children develop in all aspects of their being, and mindful how our children learn and grow by discovering through experience strands of multiple faith traditions. Count on a worship experience that honors this remarkable woman in song, story, and a spoken letter of our gratitude.
