Victim Stabbed, Man Arrested: East Hampton PD

A man was stabbed in the hand during an assault, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — A homeless man was arrested after he stabbed another man in the hand while intoxicated, according to police.

The incident took place Sept. 29 in Lakeview Cemetery, according to the Middletown Press. A 32-year-old victim, a woman and Fred Nichols, 58, were drinking vodka when the woman left for an appointment, police said.

The victim told police that Nichols then came at him with a razor for no reason. Nichols claimed the stabbing was in self defense and a witness backed him up, but the knife he used in the stabbing was old, rusty and difficult to open.
