East Hampton Woman Made Child Hit Head Against Wall: Police [UPDATE]

Details emerge in the case of Felicia O'Brien, who was arrested after a child in her care sustained injuries.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, Felicia Marie O’Brien, 24, of East Hampton was taken into custody in relation to an investigation into injuries sustained by a minor child while in her care, according to East Hampton Police.

She was processed and charged with:

  • Risk of Injury to a Minor
  • Intentional Cruelty to Persons

According to the Middletown Press, O’Brien allegedly made a 5-year-old hit her head against a wall over and over. The warrant reportedly revealed that O’Brien said the child hears voices that tell her she should cause harm to herself.

“O’Brien was unable to make her court set bond of $250,000.00 and was transported to the Middletown P.D. lockup to be held until her court appearance at the Middletown Superior Court this afternoon, October 15, 2015 to answer to the aforementioned charges,” police said in a press release.
