Wreaths Across America Ceremony this Saturday at Noon
WAA Ceremony at the Vets Memorial, located at VFW Post 5095, will be conducted after wreaths are placed at every local cemetery.

The public is encouraged to attend the annual Wreaths Across America wreath laying ceremony to be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Veterans Memorial at 20 North Main Street, East Hampton across from the local VFW Post 5095, on the front lawn of the East Hampton High School.
East Hampton’s wreath laying ceremony is conducted simultaneously with the wreath ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia on Dec. 12. This year, for the first time, wreaths will be laid at every cemetery in town under the direction of the project’s new town coordinator, Ann McLaughlin, and a committee of volunteers. Local residents are needed to help with the wreath placement and are asked to arrive at Lake View Cemetery by 9:30 AM to lay about 175 wreaths on veteran graves from all wars.
In 2015, Wreaths Across America marks the 24th anniversary of the Worcester Wreath Company donating wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992. The organization’s mission — Remember, Honor, Teach — is carried out in part each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies each December at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at hundreds of veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond.
