Mayor Joseph A. Carfora, who thanked the airline, said that Avelo requested that four groups of four round-trip tickets be raffled to families. East Haven families won all of them.

"The tremendous turnout once again shows what an amazing community East Haven is," Carfora said. "This was another great 'first' of many annual traditions that will continue to grow."
