EAST HAVEN, CT - East Haven police said late Friday that a 16-year-old has died as a result of an accident sustained Friday afternoon. Police said the accident occurred at 2:26 p.m. on South End Road as two cars collided head on. Two people were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital and the 16-year-old died as a result of their injuries, police said. A second person sustained serious injuries. The drivers were the lone occupants of their vehicles.
