EAST HAVEN, CT — Five people sustained serious injuries late Sunday after being involved in a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident, police said. Police said at 10:04 p.m. officers responded with the East Haven Fire Department to a two car, motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Foxon Road, and Mill Street. This accident involved two pickup trucks. Upon arrival it was determined to be a serious accident, with a report of one person possibly trapped in a vehicle, police said. The Fire Department subsequently treated five patients, all with serious injuries, police said. At this point they all seem to be non-life threatening injuries, police said. All five patients were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation at this time by Officer McGuire (Badge #0930). Anyone who may have witnessed this accident is encouraged to contact the East Haven Police Department at 203-468-3820.
