5 In Stolen Mercedes Break Into Cars, Steal Another Overnight: PD

EAST HAVEN, CT —In the pre-dawn hours Tuesday, people in a stolen Mercedes broke into and rummaged through cars in the Cosey Beach area. And, they stole a vehicle from Silver Sands Road, police said. While fleeing the area, the Mercedes crashed into a police cruiser, East Haven police said. The car theft spree began around 1:30 a.m. and ended around 2:30 a.m., police said.

Now, investigators are asking that any video of a gray Mercedes C450 4-door sedan with around five people inside, or a gray 2022 Chevy Tahoe, also stolen, would help them "find those responsible."
