8th Grade Students Honor Law Enforcement With 'Memorial Wall'

On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, students at Joseph Melillo Middle School presented a 'Memorial Wall of Honor' to local police.

EAST HAVEN, CT — On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, eighth grade students at Joseph Melillo Middle School presented a 'Memorial Wall of Honor' that paid homage to "fallen law enforcement officers."

Officers from East Haven, Branford and North Branford Police departments were invited to attend.

Teacher Mark Curcio, as posted by Branford Police on Facebook, said “young people need to see law enforcement as an honorable commitment to public service and safety.”
