James F. “Jim” Martone Jr., 69, of East Haven passed away on June 20, 2026 at CT Hospice. Beloved father of Erica (Rocco) Corso of North Branford and Brandon (Devon) Martone of Milford. Grandfather of Rosella and Mariella Corso and Mason Martone. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Lisa Massaro. Brother-in-law of Al Massaro and uncle of Alex Massaro both of North Branford. Jim was born in New Haven on August 30, 1956 son of the late James F. and Margaret Doerschuk Martone Sr. Before retiring, he spent his career serving the community as a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY morning, June 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Project Purple at projectpurple.org.
