Linda Evangeliste O'Brien, 82, of West Haven passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026 surrounded by her family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving mother of Daniel (MaryBeth) Smith and Audrey (Jeff) Jefferson all of West Haven. Beloved grandmother of Alexandra (Jeremy) Soule, Charlise Jefferson, Sean (Taylor Balzano) Jefferson, Thomas Smith and Meghan Smith. Cherished great grandmother of Skylar and Dylan Soule. Sister of Clemente (Teresa) Evangeliste Jr. of Orange and the late John Evangeliste. Linda was born in New Haven on November 25, 1943 daughter of the late Clemente and Olympia Rambaldi Evangeliste Sr. Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed in the production department of Sargent Manufacturing Co.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven TUESDAY morning, September 29, 2026, at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 11:00. Inurnment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call MONDAY from 5:00-7:00 PM.
