Silvio Palmieri, 85, beloved husband of 56 years to Pasqualina Salvatore Palmieri of West Haven passed away peacefully October 2, 2026 in the St. Raphael Campus with his loving family by his side. Loving father of Pietro and Anthony Palmieri both of Hamden and Joseph Palmieri of West Haven. Brother of Rita Riccitelli of North Haven and the late Alfonsina and Cristina Mazzucco, Antonietta Pirraglia, Angelo and Antonio Palmieri. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Silvio was born in Faicchio, Province of Benevento, Italy on Jume 19, 1941 a son of the late Pietro and Antonietta Bellenti Palmieri. Prior to his retirement Silvio worked for Capone J. Construction of Cheshire and also worked for the United Aluminum Corporation of North Haven. He was hardworking and dedicated to his job of which he truly enjoyed and took great pride in for so many years. In his spare time Silvio enjoyed gardening.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Thursday morning at 10:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. John the XXIII Parish at St. Louis Church at 10:30. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
