Arts & Crafts, Beach Games Program Extended Due To Excess Of Fun

The East Haven recreation department's summer program that features arts, crafts and family games on the beach has been extended.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Families who turned out last week to the East Haven Recreation Department's Arts & Crafts/Games on the Beach event had "so much fun" and the turnout was so "huge," that it was announced the program has been extended.

"Because of the huge crowd and parents and students asking if we could extend the activities, we will be extending it for three more weeks," director Liz Franco said.

The event will include three additional "Wednesdays of fun."

Added are July 27, Aug. 3 and Aug. 10.

The free program is held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the East haven Town Beach. It includes arts, crafts, corn hole, Connect Four, a bucket toss and more.
