Earlier this week, thanks greatly to the efforts of band parent Deb Benevento, the East Haven High School Yellow Jacket Marching Band received the gift of a complete set of new tires for its trailer. After reviewing funds for the school year, it was clear there were no extra funds for tires. Upon receiving the call at corporate headquarters, located here on Coe Avenue in East Haven, Town Fair Tire employees, Mike Barbaro and Frank Main stepped up without hesitation and generously donated the tires and labor. Volunteer Ian Kronberg, brother of band member Jillian Kronberg, brought the trailer to the Branford store on Tuesday, where store manager Mike Rigion led his crew to change the old tires for new ones. The trailer is now ready to roll, for the rest of this season, and beyond.
