The Hagaman Library hosted author Jackie Hennessey on August 2. She is the author of the humorous and anecdotal book about motherhood, How to Spread Sanity on a Cracker: Mom-To-Mom Whines, Cheese Rants and Recipes. She read from the book and shared some of her experiences as a working mother. Jackie's book includes her own stories as well as stories and recipes from other Moms. The book contains such delectable morsels as:
* The horrors of shopping with kids
* How to make Tex-Mex Cream Cheese Dip
* What to do when your child gets a potty seat stuck to her head
* The recipe for Gourmet Cheddar Dip with Dried Figs

Jackie Hennessey is a mom who understands what other mothers go through. She has worked full-time, part-time, and been a stay-at-home mom too. She earned a BA in journalism from Texas A&M University where she received the "Best Aggie-Life writer" award from the university newspaper. She has more than seventeen years of experience in journalism and public relations and is currently a blogger and pr consultant in Rhode Island. She worked as an assistant editor of Seattle area newspapers and in agency and corporate PR early in her career.
