Branford Woman, 22, ID'd As Person Killed In Foxon Road Crash: PD

Police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said that Crystal Sedor lost control of her car on Foxon Road around 4 a.m. First responders tried to save her.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The woman killed in the pre-dawn hours Dec. 23 after her vehicle struck a restaurant's business sign was identified as Crystal Sedor, 22, of Branford, according to East Haven police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo.

East Haven police along with the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit is still investigating the one-car fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred at 4:16 a.m. on Dec. 23.

Preliminary investigation revealed Sedor was traveling eastbound on Foxon Road (Route 80) and lost control of her vehicle near John and Maria's Restaurant, 280 Foxon Road, and struck the business sign, police said.

Sedor was extricated from her vehicle and life-saving measures began by the fire department, police said. She was immediately transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital but later died from her injuries, police said.

Murgo said investigators are "still looking for any additional witnesses who may have seen the crash or anyone who may be able to provide us with a timeline of her circumstances leading up to the accident."
