Bruce And Brie Are Thriving Thanks To Animal Shelter, Community
Abandoned to the East Haven Animal Shelter in "very poor condition," Brie and Bruce were emaciated when they arrived a few weeks ago.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Abandoned to the East Haven Animal Shelter by their owner in "very poor condition," Brie and Bruce were emaciated when they arrived a few weeks ago. Bruce weighed 112 pounds, "very low for his size," and Brie weighed 43 pounds. And Bruce had infected callouses on his elbows and feet.

But with the love and care of animal shelter staff, and through the generosity and kindness of the community, Bruce and Brie have rebounded.
"Both dogs are doing great and gaining weight, Brie is up to 61 lbs and Bruce is up to 139lbs! They are so incredibly loving and we want to thank everyone who sent donations to them so far! They have loved all the treats and new comfy beds to cuddle on ❤️ we will continue to update on their progress and we will link or wishlist of things our shelter dogs would enjoy!"
