Commemorating 2018 Lip Sync Challenge, Cops Hold National Night Out

EAST HAVEN, CT — On the four-year anniversary of the East Haven Police Department's 2018 lip sync challenge at the splash pad by the town beach, cops announce they're having date night with the entire town. Well, it is a date, Aug. 2.

The department's inaugural National Night Out promises a "ton of activities for you to participate in, including yard games, a community picnic, music and more."

Set to be held at the Momauguin splash pad across from the town beach, the event will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

"Bring your favorite picnic dinner to the splash pad and come hang out with us," police said.
