Congresswoman DeLauro Backs James Albis for State Representative

EAST HAVEN – The James Albis 2016 campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of longtime Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.

“James has a long track record of fighting for the hard working families of East Haven, whether it be bringing home more state dollars for the Town, supporting funding for additional pre-school spots, or fighting to protect our seniors,” said Congresswoman DeLauro. “I am proud to stand by James in this year’s election.”
Rep. Albis noted he is proud of Congresswoman DeLauro’s willingness to fight for the middle class. “Rosa has been a champion for East Haven’s families and I am extremely grateful for her support. She and I share many of the same interests, from enacting paid family and medical leave so that no one will have to choose between their family and their job, to investing in infrastructure to create jobs and make our state a better place to do business and raise a family.”

Rep. Albis and Congresswoman DeLauro are both staunch advocates for middle class families. They are strong proponents of improving access to child care, protecting Social Security, and have both worked to pass legislation for issues such as paid sick days and a higher minimum wage.

“It is more important than ever for East Haven to make sure we elect leaders who will fight for a better future for all residents,” added Congresswoman DeLauro. “James Albis has more than proven that he is willing to do what it takes to ensure that our citizens’ concerns are addressed.”
