EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Police Department is looking for the public's help to "identify a burglary suspect."

East Haven Police Department Capt. Joseph M. Murgo told Patch that at around 5:30 a.m., Saturday, patrol officers went to an alarm call at 516 Main St., the site of the Stop & Go. Investigators concluded, Murgo said, that the person in the surveillance video footage broke a window on the east side of the building to break in. Once inside, they took cigarettes, vape supplies, cash, and a register. The person leaves the store and "appears" to walk towards New Haven via Main Street. Murgo said officers are working on canvasing for video surveillance from surrounding buildings.
