EAST HAVEN, CT — Michael Roy of East Haven has created a GoFundMe campaign to raise more than $650,000 to help support local first responders and others in need of food during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
To promote the campaign, he drives his truck around town, emblazoned with American flags and speakers in the truck bed playing patriotic music. He calls his fundraising campaign the 'East Haven Proud USA Truck.'
Many residents have been sharing video of Roy driving around town. And East Haven Police noted his campaign on its Facebook page.
