East Haven 2021 Election Ralph 'Butch' Mannochi For Finance Board

EAST HAVEN, CT —The state Municipal Election is Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Patch contacted candidates to answer questions about their campaigns.

Republican Ralph "Butch" Mannochi, 76, is running for Board of Finance in East Haven.

Occupation: Retired

Family: Married to my wife Dale with whom I share 3 children and 6 grandchildren

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Fiscal Responsibility. If elected to the Board of Finance, I would push for more departmental accountability and would ask for monthly reports to make sure each department is staying within their budgets. Also, I believe there should be more interaction at budget time with the Town Council, and perhaps joint meetings at which both the Board of Finance and Town Council could go through the budgets and make suggestions.

Accomplishments:

Having served in the military gave me a diligence and dedication with which I will bring with me when handling the Town's budget.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I will work hard for the people of East Haven to make sure their hard-earned tax dollars are spent wisely. Having raised a family, I understand what it takes to make ends meet, and I will bring this same attitude to the Board of Finance.
