Reported early Monday afternoon, the brush fire, reported to be nearly one-acre large, was being fought by East Haven firefighters.

EAST HAVEN, CT —A one-acre brush fire was reported early Monday afternoon behind Tweed New Haven Airport that's presented access issues for East Haven firefighters necessitating a call for mutual aid from Branford and New Haven fire departments.
Reported just before 12:30 p.m. in the area of Proto Drive and Coe Avenue, by nearly 2 p.m., firefighters could be heard on emergency radio noting it was still an "all hands" involved battle to put the fire out.
Fire Chief Matt Marcarelli told Patch just after 2 p.m. that "fortunately," the fire is not wind-driven, adding that it's largely contained.
