East Haven BOE Seeking Budget Increase Next Year: Report

The Board of Education adopted the Superintendent of Schools budget proposal recently.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The Board of Education is seeking a 3.7 percent spending hike in next year's $49.72 million proposed spending plan, reports the New Haven Register.

Some of the drivers of the budget increase include an additional $468,000 in wage hikes and $715,000 in employee benefits, the Register reports. The budget can still be modified by the Town Council later in the spring.
