East Haven To Bond $640,000 for Various Capital Improvement Projects

The funds will pay for two new police patrol cars.

Tonight the Town Council will vote on whether to approve $640,000 in bonds for various capital improvement projects

East Haven officials shared with East Haven Patch a breakdown on how the $640,000 will be spent.

At the Board of Education level, $30,000 will be spent on security doors at various schools, paving, $45,000, concrete repairs, $30,000 and an environmental study costing $35,000.

The Fire Department will receive air packs costing $50,000 and a response SUV for $35,000.

The Police Department will receive two new patrol vehicles costing $104,000.

An engineering survey will cost $90,000 and financing costs will run taxpayers $41,000.
