Why sponsorship matters

"It's such an essential fundraiser for us, so we can provide the services, and benefits, for our members," Chamber president Jennifer Higham said. "And it's among the fundraisers that 100 percent support the time-honored and beloved tree lighting tradition in town."

The Chamber's annual Tree Lighting event, enjoyed by many, is made possible through its biggest and most important fundraiser, Lobsterpalooza.

Higham said Lobsterpalooza sponsorships benefit the chamber, but more importantly, highlights businesses, so they're "seen and heard."

"This is a great opportunity to really get their names out there, so the community knows who they are, what they do and how indispensable they are," she noted.

Higham said that given how the pandemic affected business, now's the time to be visible.

"Coming out of the pandemic, who are we kidding? Businesses got hurt," she said. "But now, business is coming back. And we want to celebrate and promote that."
