EAST HAVEN, CT — A daytime shooting on Main Street Friday morning is under investigation.

According to East Haven Police Capt. Joe Murgo, responding to a report of shots-fired in the area of Main Street and Harrington Avenue, police said a person in a black Range Rover SUV which was traveling eastbound on Main Street "fired several rounds" at a person standing on the sidewalk. The person was not hit.

Murgo said video surveillance shows the "intended target" run across Main Street towards Harrington Avenue while the Range Rover took off heading east on Main Street before turning into the McDermott Chevrolet parking lot. The SUV is seen traveling through the parking lot at a high rate of speed before turning right onto Frontage Road heading west.
