East Haven Earns 'C' Grade In National School Rankings Report
The district earned a grade of C overall for academics, teachers, and college prep, but fared better in health and safety and diversity.

EAST HAVEN, CT - A new Niche study is out and East Haven schools have an overall grade of C, with neighboring districts scoring higher.
East Haven Public Schools earned a grade of C overall for academics, teachers, and college prep, but scored Bs in clubs and health and safety and got an A- for diversity.
Overall, students in the district have an average of at least 47 percent reading proficiency and an average of at least 32 percent math proficiency. In Branford, 55 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 62 percent in reading.

With a 13 to 1 student teacher ratio, educators in the district earn an average of $65,000 and the district spends $21, 381 per student, with the majority of that spending devoted to academics.
