East Haven Election 2021: Anthony J. Vigliotti For Finance Board

EAST HAVEN, CT — The state Municipal Election is Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Patch contacted candidates to answer questions about their campaigns.

Republican Anthony J. Vigliotti, 78, is running for Board of Finance.

Occupation: Retired Tax Accountant

Family: Married- Rose, two daughters, 8 grandchildren

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Education without a good education system there can be no growth for the town. I plan on making sure we are getting every benefit of every dollar spent on education.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The people that are presently on the board of finance have been there for years and we are no closer to truest understanding what we are paying for and what we should be getting for our tax dollars.

Accomplishments:

Managed tax department. Reporting had to be correct and timely each period tax reports were submitted.

Other issues:

At all times the taxpayers dollars are of the utmost importance. Proper budgeting and spending is of major importance to me.
