Family in government: Not currently, while I was young my mother spent many years on the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Communication. The lines of communication and collaboration between our schools and administration and parents need to be opened. Teamwork and transparency can bring so much success to our students.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

Having children currently in the school system gives me a great opportunity to continuously connect with families and understand what the day-to-day successes and concerns are in our district

Accomplishments:

I have a strong foundation in public service and volunteerism. I understand the time and dedication required to this important elected position. I never accept the minimum measure of success and always push to further my knowledge and my own education. I completed my second bachelors degree while raising two young children and working as a maternal child health nurse while volunteering as both a Girl Scout troop leader and as a member of a local animal shelter volunteer program with my girls.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

There is no room for politics in education, only teamwork and communication.
