East Haven Fire Dept. Hosts Yale New Haven Hospital's Center for EMS' ER Doctor's 1st Responder Training
The training at the EHFD covered "critical topics" including search and rescue operations and medical management of a downed firefighter.

EAST HAVEN, CT — In an effort to school Yale New Haven Hospital emergency department doctors on how best to provide care for first responders, the East Haven Fire Department hosted an "outstanding hands-on training" for those physicians, according to the Yale New Haven Hospital Center for EMS.
Described as an immersive session, the training covered "critical topics" including firefighter personal protective equipment, search and rescue operations, and the medical management of a downed firefighter, according to the YNHH Center for EMS.
"The opportunity to learn directly from those on the front lines provided invaluable insight into the unique challenges faced in the fireground environment," the Center noted in a Facebook post.
