EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 was awarded first place in the Best Professional Fire Department category by the Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade committee.

East Haven Fire Department Chief Matt Marcarelli said he "couldn’t be more proud of the men and women of the East Haven Fire Department for being recognized once again by the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee."

"What makes this recognition even more meaningful is the consistency our department has shown over the past several years. To be recognized three years in a row—with first place this year, second place last year, and first place the year before that—speaks volumes about the commitment of our firefighters to representing this community with excellence," Marcarelli said.
