East Haven Has Candidates for Assistant School Superintendent

Superintendent of Schools Erica Forti says she will soon recommend a final list of candidates to the Search Committee of Board of Education.

EAST HAVEN, CT - Since Superintendent of Schools Erica Forti has been promoted from her previous position as assistant superintendent the position of number two person in charge of East Haven schools has been vacant.

At the most recent meeting of the Joint Personnel & Finance Subcommittee of the Board of Education, Forti said she wants to move on naming a new assistant superintendent.

Forti said she has received all of the application and may have "15-20 candidates for a preliminary screening interview."

She said once the screening interviews are completed, she will recommend a final list of candidates to the Search Committee in charge of hiring the person.

Board members asked Forti what the timeline was.

Her answer was that "it will take some time to do correctly and thoroughly."
