East Haven High School Students Honored
The East Haven Rotary Club recently recognized four high school students.

The East Haven Rotary Club recently recognized four East Haven High School Juniors as their most recent recipients, of the club’s Student of the Month program.
The winners for the first four months of this school year are (l to r): Joshua Palmer, Jessie Ludington, Frank Nicholas Higgins, Jr., and Taylor Spadory, who are pictured with Rotary Student of the Month Chairman Robert Parente.
Palmer is a member of the Math League and the Vice President of the Junior Class. He plans to go to college in the field of engineering. Ludington is also a student at ECA and is in the Creative Writing Department. She was also in the Drama Club and a member of the Honor Society.

Her plans are college with a degree in Creative Writing. Higgins is on the EHHS Hockey team and a member of HOSA and is planning on attending college to pursue a degree in the medical field as an RN. Finally Spadory is extremely involved in school sports and many clubs including SADD, HOSA, Science and Math clubs to name a few. Taylor would like to pursue a degree in pharmaceutical studies.
Each month the Rotary recognizes a student from East Haven High School’s junior class. The student is invited to attend a Thursday night dinner meeting at the Twin Pines Diner Restaurant and is presented with a certificate and a check for $ 100. Winners then become eligible for a $ 1000 scholarship to be awarded at the end of their senior year. The Club now in its 77th year, was organized on March 3, 1939.
