East Haven Hires Former Newtown Technology Supervisor As It Expands IT
With 24 years of IT experience, in Newtown, Ramon E. Figueroa was responsible for technology supporting public safety among other IT duties.

EAST HAVEN, CT —The town has hired Ramon E. Figueroa as its new Information Technology Administrator. Figueroa, who has nearly a quarter-century of IT experience, was most recently Newtown's IT supervisor.
Figueroa holds an extensive array of certifications in the IT industry, including substantial experience in the public safety sector. Ramon helped Newtown relocate their police department in 2020, was responsible for maintaining the applications for Newtown’s 911 call center, and he provided IT support for Newtown’s Police and Fire departments’ dispatch center.
In addition to Figueroa’s "broad municipal experience," according to the town, has significant management experience.

"His proven team leadership skills will be an asset," to the town as it expands its IT department, according to a news release from the mayor's office.
Figueroa began his role Aug. 1.
