East Haven Improving School Security By Adding Fingerprint Scanners
The technology cost $140,000.

East Haven is taking steps to improve its school security by adding doorway fingerprint scanners, which will be used by faculty and staff at the schools, the New Haven Register reports.
It will not be used by students. It will allow officials to know who is in the building at all times. The program should be operational at East Haven High School within six weeks time, the Register reports.
Then it will be adopted at Joseph Melillo Middle School. The technology cost $140,000 including $2,300 monthly for a maintenance fee, the Register reports.
