East Haven Independent Party Suspends Operations

Political Post

In the April 2017 Meeting for the East Haven Independent Party it was decided by the Executive Leadership that the party was going to suspend operations mainly due to key members moving out of town and the health and wellness of the leadership of the party.

Although there have been several successful campaigns and the state level and a second place finish in the 2015 Mayoral Election, where our Independent Candidate received more votes than an established party, the Executive Board decided it can no longer sustain a functional operation to continue future campaigns.
The suspension of the Independent Party in East Haven does not mean that an East Haven resident can not join the Independent Party, it simply means that there will no longer be an organized local presence to support a candidate in a campaign.

Citizens wishing to seek a run on the CT Independent Party Line may still do so by contacting the State Party directly at www.indpendentpartyofct.com.
