Police investigators believe the victim was driving a gray 2013 GMC Terrain SUV that he’d parked near the ATM but with the keys in the SUV with the engine idling. While he was at the cash machine, police said a “thief” got in the man’s SUV and as he tried to drive away, the man “ran and jumped on the driver side” to try and stop it but was thrown to the ground as the suspect took off in the SUV.

Police said it’s not yet known if the victim’s leg injuries were the result of being dragged or run over.
