East Haven Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Woman: Police

The man invited the woman to his house claiming there would be a party but when she arrived he told her no one else was coming, police said.

EAST HAVEN, CT — A 31-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at his house, who he invited over saying there would be a party, but when she arrived he told her no one else was coming, police said. The accused turned on a movie for them to watch and the victim repeatedly rebuffed the man's overtures for "sexual contact," but later that night Brian Mcinerney is accused of sexually assaulting the woman, police said in a news release.

Police said on April 14 a female complainant came to police headquarters to report that she had been sexually assaulted by Mcinerney, who invited her to his house for a party on April 10. The complainant told investigators that shortly after she arrived at Mcinerney’s house, he told her that nobody else was going to be coming to his house for the party, and put on a movie for them to watch instead, police said.
