East Haven Mayor Among Group To Ring NYSE Closing Bell
The invitation follows a "remarkable collaboration" between the town, Building Homes for Heroes, the FDNY 343 Ride and JPMorgan Chase.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Mayor Joseph A. Carfora is en route to New York City as he was asked to join a group that will ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday.
The invitation comes on the heels of a "remarkable collaboration" between the town, Building Homes for Heroes, the New York Fire Department 343 Ride and JPMorgan Chase, according to Ed Sabatino, East Haven Assistant Director of Administration and Management/Human Resources.
Building Homes for Heroes is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing homes for wounded warriors.

"It is an honor and privilege to elevate our community to this level," Carfora said. "Sometimes, when you do good things, amazing opportunities present themselves. This mindset encapsulates East Haven’s commitment to supporting its residents, enhancing our community’s image, and contributing to noble causes.”

The event at the NYSE celebrates East Haven's partnership with Building Homes for Heroes,
FNDY 343 Ride and JPMorgan Chase, which has resulted in a well-deserved opportunity for
Army Specialist Evan Marcy.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, Specialist Marcy will be presented with an East Haven home—a gesture of gratitude for his service and sacrifice.
The collaboration between East Haven, Building Homes for Heroes, and JPMorgan Chase
underscores the importance of community involvement and support for those who have bravely
served their country. By joining forces, these entities will not only provided this deserving veteran with a home but have also demonstrated the power of collective action and goodwill.
The ringing of the closing bell at the NYSE by Carfora will undoubtedly be remembered as a significant moment in the history of East Haven, spokesperson Sabatino said. "It serves as a testament to the town's compassion, resilience, and willingness to go above and beyond for its citizens."
