East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora Seeks Third Term

Looking to serve the town for what would be his 3rd term in office, Carfora hopes voters will keep him in the post come this November.

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora told Patch early Thursday morning that his "work is not yet done," in announcing his bid for a third term.

"It's been the privilege of my life to serve the town and its citizens, so I'm proud to announce that I will be seeking a third term as East Haven's mayor," Carfora said. "I have been tested time and again in my role as mayor. I believe I've cleared every hurdle and proven to East Haven citizens that I am more than qualified to continue in this important role. We still have work to do."

"We have accomplished a great deal under some very challenging circumstances. My team's vision is clear, direct, and honest and its path visible throughout our community," he said. "From our shoreline to our North End, our commitment to the whole town is evident."

Carfora pointed to myriad accomplishments over his past near two terms in office.

"We have increased the funding and capabilities of our police and fire departments. They have the training and the equipment to do safely do their jobs. And fiscally, we are stronger than ever before."
