East Haven Mayoral Candidate Attracts 400 to Event

An overflow crowd attended the Maltese for Mayor 2015 Pasta Dinner fundraiser on May 19th at the East Haven Senior Center. The fundraiser drew supporters from across party lines and highlighted the growing base of voters encouraging Sal Maltese to run for Mayor of East Haven.

In his speech to over 400 attendees, Mr. Maltese stressed his campaign for Mayor of East Haven comes from his heartfelt desire to see East Haven be a viable destination community, where young people want to live, where families want to stay to raise and educate their children and where senior citizens retire to.

Mr. Maltese stressed to accomplish this we must stabilize taxes, provide the funds and leadership necessary to improve East Haven’s roads, beach area, ball fields and the town center. Sal also intends to establish an open communication with educators, school administrators and parents to provide the best in education for our children. Sal also promised to make Town Hall a welcome and inviting place to do business for all our residents.

Sal was happily surprised when a group of young adults spoke after dinner and offered their support for his campaign and his theme, “Change is Coming,” to East Haven .
