East Haven Police Charge Man in Theft of Construction Equipment
A Bobcat valued at $80,000 was allegedly stolen, police said.

On November 14, East Haven police officers charged Armand Amendola, 42, on an arrest warrant, for allegedly stealing a Bobcat valued at $80,000, police said.
The arrest followed an investigation beginning in March when a construction company reported a theft of construction equipment, a Bobcat T750 valued at approximately $80,000, police said.
The Bobcat was stolen from a construction site near Tweed New Haven Airport on Proto Drive.

Information was later received that the stolen Bobcat was located at a residence in North Haven, police said.
Members of the East Haven Police Department and North Haven Police Department executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered the stolen Bobcat.

Further investigation revealed that the Bobcat was originally stolen by Amendola, who was charges with first-degree larceny.
Amendola was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
