EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Police Department hopes its newest officer will get the welcome wagon treatment from the community.

"Please join us in welcoming Officer Brian Parzyck who has officially joined the East Haven Police Department," police posted on social media.

Parzyck "begins his journey April 1 at the Meriden Police Academy," police said. "Over the next seven months, Brian will be dedicating himself to intensive training, developing the knowledge and skills needed to serve our community."
