East Haven Police On Lookout For Catalytic Converter Thieves

The brazen daylight theft happened in the Woodview Senior Apartments parking lot.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Police are on the lookout for catalytic converter thieves.

East Haven police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said two catalytic converters were stolen from two vehicles in the Woodview Senior Apartments parking lot, 1270 North High St. at around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Murgo said the suspects were described as two males wearing black hoodies. The two were seen initially looking into and under vehicles in the lot, he said. They then were seen leaving the parking lot in a gray sedan, the make and model are unknown, he said.

Murgo said anyone “who may have captured video of the suspects, or their vehicle” is asked to contact Officer Dwight Calderon via email at dcalderon@easthavenpolice.com.
