East Haven Police: Romantix Robbed by Suspect Armed With Machete

Police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said an employee of the Foxon Road adult store Romantix called 911 to report an armed robbery Sunday night.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Sunday night, at around 6:30 p.m. a Foxon Road business was robbed by a man wielding a machete, police said.

Police Capt. Joseh M. Murgo said that an employee of Romantix, an “adult entertainment store,” at 815 Foxon Road, called 911 to report an armed robbery. Murgo said the employee described the person as a black male wearing a gray under armor sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, light surgical mask and dark sneakers. The man came into Romantix with a machete and demanded cash out of the register, Murgo said.

Fleeing, the person was last seen heading westbound on Rt. 80 towards New Haven in a silver Honda with dark tinted windows, Murgo said.

No injuries were reported.
