East Haven Resident Earns All-Region Honors
He is a member of the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team and has been named to the NCBWA Preseason All-Region Team.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Coming off a season in which he was named All-Conference, All-ECAC and All-Region by three separate organizations, Nick Lamberti (East Haven, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team has been named to the NCBWA Preseason All-Region Team.
Lamberti was second in the NE10 with a .384 batting average last year and led the league in hits and on-base percentage. He also ranked 11th in runs and 16th in total bases, doubles and slugging percentage. Lamberti was also selected to play in the 2017 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game.

The Owls finished the 2017 season with a record of 27-16-1. SCSU qualified for the NCAA Tournament and won the NE10 Southwest Division title.The 2018 season opener is set for Feb. 23 against Dominican in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
