East Haven Resident Honored with Nightingale Award
Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Clinician, Courtney Fletcher, RN, BSN, Recognized for Nursing Excellence

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is proud to announce that East Haven resident Courtney Fletcher, RN, BSN, was honored with the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing.
Considered one of Connecticut’s most prestigious nursing honors, the Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing program was created to celebrate outstanding nursing professionals and to elevate the profession in the state of Connecticut. Fletcher was among dozens of exceptional nurses from Greater New Haven health care organizations to have received the honor.
Described as patient, genuinely kind and empathetic,Courtney Fletcher, RN, BSN, is said to be a “prime example of what it means to be a nurse.”

Fletcher is well-known at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare for consistently placing her patients’ needs as a priority as she assists them through difficult times. A nurse with Gaylord for more than six years, she once organized an in-hospital prom for one adolescent patient who was unable to attend her own high school prom due to severe illness.
Fletcher commented, “I enjoy the opportunity to have a positive impact on my patients and their families. Nursing is a challenging yet rewarding profession!”
