East Haven Resident Named NE-10 Goaltender of the Week
Andrew Esposito, an East Haven High School graduate, earned top honors for his recent strong play as the starting goalie for Southern Connecticut State University's soccer team.
East Haven resident Andrew Esposito has been named the Northeast-10 goalkeeper of the week, according to Southern Connecticut State University's officials athletics department website.
Esposito, a graduate of East Haven High School, is a member of the state university's soccer team.
As the Owl's starting goaltender, last Tuesday SCSU senior made seven saves during a tie game against American International College.
In addition, Esposito also stopped eight shots against Southern New Hampshire University during a match on Saturday, the university reported.
The team's next home game is this Wednesday, Oct. 19 against Stonehill College at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
